Description: | Perithecia epiphyllous, lenticular, 325-460 μm wide, 190-325 μm high, immersed and slightly erumpent, single to gregarious under the intra-subepidermal clypeus, clypeus 50-80 μm thick, surrounding the upper half of perithcium. Peridium 20-38 μm thick, composed of flattened, hyaline to pale brown cells, with interwoven hyphae mixed with host tissue on the outside. Asci periphery in lower half of centrum, cylindrical, 90-110 × 14-20 μm, stipulate, truncate at the apex, with a well developed apical ring, 8-spored, parahysate. Ascospores biseriate in the ascus, elliptical to cylindrical, the middle broader than the two ends, one celled, hyaline, 20-26 × 5-7 μm. | |||
