 Description: Apothecia single or gregarious on decorticated wood, 0.5-1.0 mm. Disc inrolled, sessile, black, dark brown on outer layer. Asci cylindrical, 64.0-82.0 × 6.0-12.0 μm, 8-spored, uniseriate. Hymenium blued by iodine and forming a distinct blue ring on top of asci when stained with Melzer’s reagent. Ascospores 1-spetate, fusiform, olive-brown, with striation, 12.0-18.0 × 4.8-7.2 μm. Paraphyses with branches, swollen on top. Ectal excipulum composed of textura globulosa.

 Note: This species is only reported from Fushan Botanical Garden from Taiwan. That hymenium blued by iodine forming a distinct blue ring on top of asci and ascospores with 1-septate are two distinct characteristics of the species.
