 Description: Infected spider host covered with weft of mycelium, membranous, brownish orange (6C5-6), septate, hyaline, mostly smooth-walled, occasionally minutely roughened, slightly swollen near septum, 3.8-6.0 μm wide. Perithecia superficial, mostly produced on the legs, head and abdomen of the spider, scattered or clustered, ovato-conical, 180-360 ×130-210 μm, light yellow (4A4-5), orange (5A6), brownish orange (6C7) to brown (6E7-8), perithecial wall 16-24 μm thick, beset on subiculum, sometimes almost glabrous. Asci and ascospores immature. Conidial state unknown.
