Description: | Leaf spots subcircular, necrotic, light brown in the centre, dark brown around the margin, 1.5-4 × 2-5 mm, sometimes expanded to 8 × 10 mm. Pseudoperithecia amphigenous, globose, dark brown, with an ostiole erumpent, 69-98 μm in diam. Asci obclavate, curved, short-stalked or non-stalked, bitunicate, 8-spored, 32-59 × 6-10 μm. Ascospores oblong, straight, sometimes slightly curved, 2-celled, septum near the middle position, the upper cell slightly wider than the lower cell, hyaline, 10-14 × 2.5-3 μm. | |||
