 Description: Mycelium superficial, forming loose subiculum on the surface of substrates. Ascostromata erumpent, carbonaceous, conical, the base surrounded by prominent elevated host tissue. The cells between ascostromata and the elevated host tissue are stromatic, 101-137 μm wide, 176-234 μm high. Peridium very thick, composed of compressed pseudoparenchymatous cells, dark brown inside, becoming blackened outside, 78-185 μm wide in the lateral part, oblong arranged longitudinally, palisade, dark brown pseudoparenchymatous cells, and 18-35 μm wide in the basal part. Asci bitunicate, cylindrical, long- stalked, basal, 8-spored, 269-328 × 7-10 μm. Pseudoparaphyses numerous, filamentous, branched. Ascospores fusoid, uniseriate to biseriate in the ascus, 3-septate, constricted at the medium septum, acute at end,, brown, 45-53 × 6-7 μm.
